Have You Outgrown Your Accounting System or Need An Upgrade?

On Thursday, September 28, Martin & Associates traveled to Charleston, WV for a joint lunch & learn event with Advantage Technology. At the event, we covered accounting software, specifically the warning signs that you are outgrowing your existing system. We also reviewed some of the signs that your existing accounting system, while a still viable system for your company, might be in need of an upgrade to a more recent version.

If you weren’t able to attend, you are in luck the presentation was recorded. Watch it here.

Entry level accounting packages, like QuickBooks and Sage 50 are great for new or small businesses but as your business grows, typically these systems can no longer adequately meet your company’s needs. At the event, we covered signs that you may be outgrowing your accounting system. They include:

  • Performance delays
  • More complex reporting needs
  • 3rd party integrations required

If you are already on a mid-level or enterprise level system, but are having compatibility issues, it may be time to upgrade to the newest version. You could be missing out on new features that you could benefit from.

If any of these issues describe your current situation, Martin & Associates can help.

Thank you to our friends at Advantage Technology! We enjoyed the event and look forward to the next one.
