Payroll Tax Update for Dynamics GP

Microsoft has released another Payroll Tax Update for Dynamics GP.  This is the fourth tax update for 2014. More importantly for our local clients: it contains tax changes for Ohio that went into effect on July 1st.  The good news is that this update does not require application code changes.  You will only be required to update the tax tables, either by manually using the latest Tax.cab file or by using the Automatic update solution within Dynamics GP.

The automatic update can be found by navigating to Microsoft Dynamics GP>Maintenance>US Payroll Update>Check for Tax Updates>Automatic – Then enter your Authorized Phone Number.

Please check the tax rate table after it completes by choosing Setup>System>Payroll Tax>Filing Status.>Tables:
